Solex-Coop and IJA Developers Partner on Hospitality and Cleaning Academy

Solex-Coop and IJA Developers, two leading companies in the Ethiopian hospitality and cleaning industries, have announced a new partnership to establish a hospitality and cleaning academy in Addis Ababa and other regions of the country. The academy will provide training to individuals and businesses on a variety of topics, including hotel operations, housekeeping, and cleaning management.

The partnership is aimed at addressing the growing demand for skilled hospitality and cleaning workers in Ethiopia. The country’s tourism industry is booming, and new hotels and restaurants are opening all the time. As a result, there is a high demand for qualified staff to fill these positions. The new academy will help to meet this demand by providing training to individuals who are interested in working in the hospitality and cleaning industries.

The academy will offer a variety of courses, including basic hospitality and cleaning courses, specialized courses for different types of businesses, and disaster recovery and green cleaning courses. The courses will be taught by experienced professionals from both Solex-Coop and IJA Developers, as well as by other qualified instructors.

One of the unique features of the new academy is its commitment to hiring local trainers. The academy has agreed that 50% of its trainers will be from Ethiopia, and the other 50% will be from outside of the country. This commitment to hiring local trainers is important because it will help to ensure that the academy is able to provide training that is relevant to the needs of the Ethiopian hospitality and cleaning industries.

The new academy is expected to open its doors in early 2024. In the meantime, Solex-Coop and IJA Developers are working together to develop the curriculum for the courses and to recruit qualified trainers.
